Lido deck cabin on Dream

Haven't cruised on Dream, but have had a Lido balcony on Breeze and other ships. Pros are that they are close to so many things. Just a few steps and you're on the pool deck. A few more steps and you're in the Buffet. Also close to the sports, spa, and serenity decks. I can't really think of any cons. I've had Lido balconies on four cruises and enjoyed it every time. Some people think there will be a lot of noise from the pool deck but we never heard anything, even when out on the balcony. Once on Valor we had a cabin that was only three cabins away from the cabin right next to the pool deck and it was still quiet.

We had a Lido deck cabin on the Dream.

It's close to food (buffet, Guy's Burgers, pizza, etc.), bars, pools, water slides, Dive In Movies, and mini golf.  We have only ever had rooms on or a deck above the Lido, so I can't compare, but noise and foot traffic was never an issue for me.

The only con is that every morning I thought I could walk to the buffet area and get us coffee without spilling half of it before I got back to the room.  I may have been used to the rocking of the ship but the coffee sure wasn't.

What they said... including the coffee...

We had Lido on our first cruise ever. It was awesome. No noise and room was always right there when we wanted it. Our second cruise was on Deck  7. No issues with it either. It took a few more minutes to get to the Lido deck, but was much faster for evening events. For us it comes down to overall cost.
