momatibm Posted October 31, 2022 #51 Share Posted October 31, 2022 We first sailed other Rottwrdam V, we loved the old world feeling, we were celebrating our 20th anniversary, we have continued to sail Hal, because reading comments on other cruise lines, the ones we could afford, didn't meet our expectations. Also friends like Hal as well so we travel together.

The only time we booked HAL because of the ship was with the old Prinsendam (we had exactly 200 days on that vessel) which was a personal favorite. In the interests of full disclosure, we have yet to sail on any of the Pinnacle Class. Hank We still miss the Prinsendam. We were so fortunate to sail on it through the Kiel Canal and on its final voyage.

Particularly, when one is returning to the ship after an exotic port shore excursion, that banner is very welcome by me to see. The refreshment tents with some seating that are created near the gangway at many ports are a welcome amenity. Maybe no banner at those ports, but, the "Welcome Home!" is there.
