Sea glass beach

Has anyone ever tried to go to Rompeolas Beach North aka Tamarindo Beach to look for sea glass? I’m not sure how far away it is or if it’s safe to go on our own?

That beach is in Aguadilla, close to a two hour drive from San Juan.  I have no idea if there's sea glass there, but even if there is and even if you're a sea glass aficionado, assuming you're in San Juan for the day on a cruise it's not someplace I would go.
