SlipperyP Posted October 29, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 29, 2022 I was in my on-line Carnival account today and noticed an offer for a Premier Cruise with includes $500 FunPlay credit. In the terms and conditions, it notes: "To redeem the FunPlay credit offer, the named VIFP Club member must bring the original mail piece to the casino cashier’s desk on board. Enjoyment of the FunPlay credits is subject to validation, and Carnival reserves the right to refuse redemption." I never received mail with the offer. I don't normally cruise with Carnival and this is my first offer from them. I'm wondering how strict they are about seeing the original mail before providing the FunPlay credit. Has anyone been denied? Would appreciate your your experience and/or feedback. Thanks.
Rare txcruiser1234 Posted October 29, 2022 #2 Share Posted October 29, 2022 My wife and I have been cruising Carnival on a casino deal called "Plan Now, Play Later" that contains the exact same wording about the original mail piece in the T&Cs. We don't receive physical mail from Carnival, just emails. We have not had to produce any documentation (yet) to use the FunPlay component onboard. I recommend, though, having the offer as a printout (or pdf/screenshot on your phone), just in case. After booking, you could also send the casino an email requesting confirmation of the deal - we've done this as well - it usually takes 4-5 business days for them to send back confirmation. Yes - once booked, the Funplay $$$ (or DOU info) have never shown up for us in the cruise booking details - but all was right upon boarding. To be absolutely sure though, you can email the casino for confirmation ahead of your cruise.
