Texasjlm Posted November 1, 2022 #1 Share Posted November 1, 2022 We are a group of ten leaving Galveston in April,2023. Trying to figure best means of transportation with three or four wheelchairs and luggage for ten. This is one way only as the cruise ends in Los Angeles. I've looked at renting one way 15 passenger van but I don't think it can accommodate the wheelchairs and all the luggage. Nobody in our group is interested in flying or taking a bus to Houston. Both of those require shuttles that are not always able to handle our needs... Anybody have any ideas?
txjim09 Posted November 2, 2022 #2 Share Posted November 2, 2022 Tough one! If the wheelchair passengers can make it up bus steps, I'd consider taking Redcoach or Megabus to Houston and then contact Saltwater Moms to get you to port. Redcoach is much nicer than your basic Greyhound service, don't know about Megabus. I've taken Vonlane before in a panic to get from Dallas to an airport that did not have most flights cancelled to get to a cruise, it was the most relaxing part of the entire experience! It's 3X the price of the others I list, however.
txjim09 Posted November 2, 2022 #3 Share Posted November 2, 2022 (edited) To comment on your "no bus" preference, I think you'll find the options I mentioned much more comfortable than any car or van transport available. Take a look at the websites. Edited November 2, 2022 by txjim09
