cheezgrl Posted November 3, 2022 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2022 I'm considering booking a Cruise tour (land/cruise). Can someone who has done one give me some information about the flights needed for the land portion- are those included in the fare shown on Princess' website. *I realize that my flight to/from my home to the port of departure is not included* Thanks in advance Tina
nasa1974 Posted November 3, 2022 #2 Share Posted November 3, 2022 We did the Australia tour/cruise back in 2016 and flights were included in the land portion. Can't say what it has been recently.
skynight Posted November 3, 2022 #3 Share Posted November 3, 2022 We did this years ago. On our 8 day tour we flew Sydney to Uluru, Uluru to Darwin, Darwin to Cairns, Cairns to Sydney to board the ship. All air fare was included as well as the hotels most breakfasts some lunches and dinners. The flights are long. We packed a regular large suitcase, and one carry on suitcase each. The large suitcase was given over to the tour staff in Sydney and was in our cabin when we boarded. We carried the small suitcase on the land portion.
LouCoop Posted November 4, 2022 #4 Share Posted November 4, 2022 This was our last trip pre covid. We did this in February 2020. We loved it. It was much like @skynightmentioned except only breakfasts were included, no lunches or dinners. Hotels and flights included. We really enjoyed it and found it was totally worth it.
nasa1974 Posted November 4, 2022 #5 Share Posted November 4, 2022 The only disappointing part of Australia was our Sydney Harbor Bridge Climb was canceled because of thunderstorms. Initially they didn't want to refund our money and said it's good for 6 months. Had to explain to a few people we wouldn't be coming back in 6 months. Finally got our refund.
