Help with identifying Delta/Air France Equipment ATL-CDG

Promised that I would come back and tell you what we booked. 😉

Yesterday, we checked rates and flight/date combinations and were seeing prices for Delta PE higher than we wanted.  For a direct non-stop ATL-AMS in PE on Delta, we were still looking at $3600pp.  Hard pill to swallow considering we flew for that same price on Business to Europe the last time we cruised over there. We could take a deviation and fly into LHR first.  Even then, I think we would have saved only $1500 overall.  But then we would have to pay around $300pp to fly British Airways on to AMS. Plus risk losing our luggage! 🤷‍♀️

So my son-in-law, who frequently flies for his business, said that he finds the best prices on Wednesday's.  We thought we would give it a try and we repeated what we did yesterday by checking certain dates, including going through LHR (that route had the same prices as yesterday.)  We kept playing around with the dates and we ended up finding what we consider a good deal.

We will fly Delta PE, non-stop, round trip from ATL-AMS for $2300pp!  We could have taken the same flight over, and done a plane change in New York on the return to save another $300pp (ticket $2000pp.)  Decided that was not worth the hassle.

The times for our flights are ideal.  We will be staying overnight one more night than originally planned, but it gives us the opportunity to go to Bruges either before or after Amsterdam.  On the other end, we hope to visit with our friends in Germany.  They are only an hour or so train ride from Amsterdam...just over the border.

We are very happy with our cost for PE.  We will, however, check for upgrading to Business before the flight.  We are only Silver this year, so the chances of a free upgrade are zero. 👧

Thanks again for everyone's help!

Especially since Medallion upgrades are for domestic flights and not for international Delta One.
