Antarctica

I am struggling with packing for an Antarctica cruise in November.  They provide gear for going ashore but how warm do I need to be on deck?  I have Timberland boots. Do I need those or something else?   Just good shoes with socks?    Any help appreciated.  Thanks

I would pack silk longies, merino wool midlayers, plus a fleece jacket, perhaps a rain-proof top layer. Don't forget hat(s) and gloves. Imagine you are going to Alaska in May and want to be spending time on deck. Remember it is their spring-to-summer and you are not going to the pole.

We sailed around the Horn in November, not to Antarctica but I packed like we were! Never used the heavy longjohns OR the down vests!
