  1. We have celebrated anniversaries on Seabourn. They do a fabulous job. 25th Anniversary complete with private menu and a renewal of vows ceremony with 12 people attending. No extra charges. We love the size of their ships. We did the Encore from Athens in 2022. Stops in Croatia, Greece and Italy. I hope you find something that works for you.
  2. I always take my Rx in those daily dispensers. I have just put them in my carryon and have never been questioned. I’ve never even had them pulled out and questioned. Neither has my husband. If I take my vitamins I put them in small snack bags and label them D, C, etc. re liquids. I think you would need to keep to the allowed size unless you put in your checked bag. Just my view.
  3. We also use Chase Sapphire. On top of that we purchase an annual travel policy. Hopefully if the need arose the two would work together to cover our needs.
  4. A flight attendant friend recommended them😁
  5. I bought a Travel Pro for my husband. Nice quality. I bought a full size travel Pro for myself and they were fabulous on the warranty when the retractable handle stuck
  6. I had to chase mine but I presumed that was because I renewed online in 2020. I know in the end it was a simple video chat with an officer who asked to see my passport and old GE card. After that the new card arrived in days. If you have any phone number available for follow up I’d suggest you give it a try and see if it progresses. Good luck!
  7. A few clothes pins might be helpful with the drying also.
  8. We have met cruisers from Florida and they say they do last minute bookings because it’s easy for them to get to port etc. I know they do this through a TA or the cruise line by phone. Does anyone here know the time frame needed for that? The way they talk I know it’s weeks, not days. Since we book sometimes a year in advance, last minute for us would mean a month away. I’m sure logistics these days requires the line to have time to issue tickets etc
  9. Are any of the larger suites on Seabourn able to accommodate 3 people?
  10. I agree with CDNPolar. Your body clock needs to get on the new time. We do the same thing. Go for a walk. Have an early drink and dinner then bed about 9. Happy Anniversary!
  11. We now carry a tube of super glue. Hubby had a pair of sunglasses break and a fellow passenger had super glue and since then it’s been on our permanent packing list in a small bag I pack non essential toiletries to pack. Also, a few clothes pins to hold wet bathing suits better on the line over the tub.
  12. No but can I suggest you think about the Churchill War Rooms as a site to visit. Absolutely fascinating.
  13. We love Seabourn. Never done Alaska on them but cannot imagine it would not be their usual standard.
  14. This is a great thread. I wondered about the question, but some of the information is useful and fun!
  15. Ditto that. We just arrived Miami today and GE is incredible. Facial recognition and you’re on your way.
  16. On all inclusive cruises, (Seabourn, Silversea, Regent) we still leave our cabin attendants something at the end of the cruise. We put it in an envelope with a note of thanks. We also give to the Crew Fund. This is used for various outings, etc that include crew that work hard behind the scenes.
  17. It was a personal reason, not a change through courts. The affidavit wasn’t as long as the form you show, but if that works then you’ll get the same result. Hope it all goes smoothly. Bright side. You should only need to do this once!
  18. Looking at the comment above, I believe a lawyer friend of mine did advise on either the wording or notarizing.
  19. I had a similar issue when I applied for my first passport years ago. I had my mom make a statement that for personal reasons I used a different name from my Birth certificate. I had it notarized and have never been questioned on anything as my passport seems to be a definitive document for citizenship. Good luck. I hope your mom helps. I know it’s stressful.
  20. We are doing Alaska in May and I was concerned it would too early in the season. We then met a couple from Alaska on a cruise in October and they said May is a nice month. Obviously cold, but usually clear. On our previous Alaska cruises we took long underwear (lightweight) and layers. Include a scarf and cap.
  21. We’ve used them as the booking agent in Iceland and New York City. Received confirmations we printed and they worked well.
  22. We are doing this in Lima in January. No point in hanging around Lima before an 11pm flight. Seabourn advised our TA for us to make the ship aware of our plans when onboard.
