Olden - what to do/see?

Hello! Has anyone taken the Glacier Sightseeing bus? We understand it's one hour?  What was your experience?

 

We're thinking about doing this and then spend time walking around Olden.

 

Any advice on what to do/see in Olden?

Yes, we were just looking at this. We're trying to figure out if the ship has a shore excursion that will take us there and back. Thank you.

Looks like there's a shuttle that takes you the lift and back.

Our May cruise has only 2 excursions listed. One I don’t want to do & another I’m not sure I can with limited mobility 😬

Any ideas about guides in Olden thanks

Is that in Olden itself & do we need to prebook? That sounds right up our street so thank you.

This is in Olden. The bus stops right across the street from where the ship is docked.

We found them while looking at videos of people that have been there. 

 

Our favorite cruise line is Princess, although we choose our cruise based on the itinerary, not the cruise line, but if we can find what we want on Princess, we choose them first.

Thank you. Will get around trying to trying Princess at some point. Have only been on celebrity & Disney.

Climate change has had a pretty big impact on the glacier, so if you look at older posts, be aware that those from 5-10 years ago will have had a very different experience than those more recent.

Do you think the glacierbus and lift will need to be pre booked?

I'm interested in cheaper trips or DIY excursions as I find it hard to justify the price of those offered by P&O. Any hints or tips?
