rmemmer Posted November 17, 2022 Author #4 Share Posted November 17, 2022 This Cruise departs from Brisbane. Any recommendations for hotels that are near the carnival cruise port and still be able to do some sightseeing in Brisbane
Rare arxcards Posted November 18, 2022 #5 Share Posted November 18, 2022 That would be Carnival Luminosa? There are no hotels particularly close to the cruise terminal. An area that is reasonably convenient to the airport and cruise terminal, with links into the city via Rivercat is the suburb of Hamilton. This is where the old cruise terminal was, and home to several "airport" hotels. Our favourite hotel is Alcyone Apartments, which is in the old cruise terminal development. There are plenty of food & drink options, a small supermarket, movie theatre and a short walk to Brett's Wharf for a rivercat into the city. There are a few cheaper options in the area, but a bit further away from Brett's Wharf. Aussieflyer Posted November 18, 2022 #7 Share Posted November 18, 2022 The new international cruise terminal is basically in an industrial area with no facilities around . Hopefully at some point in the future the area will be redeveloped. For accommodation that is convenient for some siteseeing I would stay in the city though others prefer Hamilton area as suggested by Axcards above. If only wanting one night and not aiming to visit any sites, I woukd stay at the airport.
