Studio lounge drinks

I have the basic drink package. The Prima studio lounge has beer, soda, and wine available on tap.

 

Scanned my card and first, only wine would dispense at a very slow drip rate. Next time I tried it, the card would not register at all.

 

I asked guest service about this and they're telling me that the lounge drinks are extra. How is this possible?

Wine stations are not included according to the package Terms and Conditions.

So the wine and draft beer that's in the lounge (which appears to be the same that can also be obtained elsewhere onboard) isn't included? That doesn't make sense.

 

The wine and beer doesn't cost more than $15, but then why not just charge the on board account?

If you go into the lounge when there is a bartender in there, and have them poor your beer/wine, then it's included in the package.  You just can't use the self service station.  This applies to the stations all over the ship, not just the studio lounge

It's probably not included because when there's no bartender present, it's too hard to make sure the drinks aren't being passed on to someone else who doesn't have the beverage package.
