shinynose Posted March 6, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 6, 2006 This is our first time cruising and we were wondering what some of the exotic or just plain good drinks are to order?:D
KKeeganS Posted March 6, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 6, 2006 I'm a big fan of the Mango Tango - 1/2 pina colada, 1/2 mango daiquiri. Nice and refreshing by the pool!
Clarkk W Griswald Posted March 6, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 6, 2006 I agree!! Mango Tango's are awesome and come in a really cool glass to keep. But, of course, you are paying extra for the glass!:D
Jan_In_Maine Posted March 6, 2006 #4 Share Posted March 6, 2006 Miami Vice gets my vote.

glgolfer Posted March 6, 2006 #6 Share Posted March 6, 2006 BBC - banana/Baileys/colada mix. Be sure it's a fresh banana not the syrup.

karen_g Posted March 6, 2006 #8 Share Posted March 6, 2006 Love Connection! Don't remember what was in it (it's been a couple of years) but I DO remember that it was extra yummy!
awdl2000 Posted March 6, 2006 #9 Share Posted March 6, 2006 love connection....mango daq, pina colada, and straw daquari. This was the 1st drink I had on my 1st cruise and it will always be my favorite!
atlcple2 Posted March 6, 2006 #10 Share Posted March 6, 2006 LUVIE DUVIE for me! Very yummy with or without the rum!
Robby2299 Posted March 6, 2006 #11 Share Posted March 6, 2006 Wow... I can't believe my cruise is next week. The counter started at 300+ days. Now it says 12. I'm shocked how quick the time flew by. Though I am pretty sure the next week+5 days are going to CRAWL by. *sniffle* *cry*
First-Due Posted March 6, 2006 #12 Share Posted March 6, 2006 Goombay Smash, it's an awesome rum drink, sorry I do not know all the ingrediants but ask the bartenders and they will know how to make it. Make sure you ask for a Malibu floater on top and make sure they put nutmeg on top also. Margaritas are a must have!!
OPSoccermom Posted March 6, 2006 #13 Share Posted March 6, 2006 I'm with Paul - love'em. It took us almost all summer to replicate the ones we had on Mariner last year. It was a tough job, but someone had to do it!
JeffKoz Posted March 6, 2006 #14 Share Posted March 6, 2006 Miami Vice and Coco Loco's are our favorite frozen libations. :) But when wanting something nice and light/refreshing for a hot day on deck nothing beats a Pearl Harbor (vodka, pinapple juice and a splash of melon liquer on the rocks).... zotzer Posted March 6, 2006 #15 Share Posted March 6, 2006 Oh gosh, it *totally* depends on the time of day! :) Have to start out with at least one or two bloody mary's....I always order them "extra spicey, just like me!". :) I usually switch to some sort of light beer and occassional glasses of water for mid-day, then try at least one "drink of the day" (unless it has any kind of coconut flavor) in the late afternoon. Red wine with dinner....maybe some champagne before or after. Evenings in the casino and disco...shift into heavy gear with Grey Goose on the rocks and extra olives (and/or Long Island Ice Teas), and the occassional diet cokes so that I don't completely pass out. Start all over again the next day! :) Tracy
ckrobyn Posted March 6, 2006 #16 Share Posted March 6, 2006 My vote has to go to the Mud Slide - a delicious milkshake type drink that happens to have liquor in it.......:D
lszu Posted March 6, 2006 #17 Share Posted March 6, 2006 In no particular order: Mango Tango, Love Connection, Coco Loco
zantedeschia Posted March 6, 2006 #18 Share Posted March 6, 2006 Yuck, I avoid anything with a pre-mixed formula, it tastes nasty. (I like made-from-scratch margaritas, pina coladas, etc, but not that stuff poured out of a carton). Therefore I stick to Coronas, wine, vodka martinis, coconut rum & pineapple juice, stuff like that.
csbenedict Posted March 6, 2006 #19 Share Posted March 6, 2006 Nice to hear the Love Connection is still around! Had them on our 1st cruise in 1998 on Enchantment. 101 days till our Explorer cruise and I think I can taste them already!
Nliedel Posted March 6, 2006 #20 Share Posted March 6, 2006 Mango Tangos are good. I am partial to Bellini's. Peach juice, peach schnaps and sparkling wine. Yum!
First-Due Posted March 6, 2006 #21 Share Posted March 6, 2006 I meant to say Myers Dark Rum not Malibu for the Goom Bay Smash!! At night Chevis on the rocks!!!!!!!

missymatt Posted March 6, 2006 #25 Share Posted March 6, 2006 If you on one of the ships with a Bolero's, the best drink is the fresh Mojito they make. Strong and refreshing at the same time. Yum yum.
