i go to Ashtabula, OH to do some walleye fishing out on Lake Erie.

i'm a little ticked off with Carnival. when we were notified that the ship was switched to the Venezia we were told that our steak house reservations would be transfer. after a few weeks i still did not see our reservations on our cruise planner. i contacted Carnival as well as CruCon (which i had our reservations transferred to and received double onboard credits). CruCon said that Carnival canceled our steak house reservations and issued a refund. i contacted my wife and asked if we rec'd a $252 credit. she said no. i called the credit card company and reviewed my activity, there was a credit of $168 on 11/16 and $84 on 12/1. my wife was looking for the full amount i guess. anyway, i was never informed of the cancellations and am glad i was able to rebook today. also, my wife is still a little pissy that i didn't check online EVERY day and get reservations for the Chef's Table dinner.

My sister and I are doing that as B2B.

Hi, BIN - I'm more than a little ticked off at CCL for the way the ship swap was handled. We booked B2B (PIF on both) in Dec2021, so a ways out by the time the swap occurred and new assignments were made.

We were downgraded on both weeks and put in 2 cabins when we had booked same one for both weeks. Multiple calls and emails got me nowhere. Told I could cancel and gets refund if done soon.

So, I'd be interested know if you had problems other than the dinner reservations.

at this time....knock on wood...., no, i've had no other problems with them swapping out ships.

Hi everyone,

Just booked a b2b for 9/8 and 9/16.  I will be solo on these two cruises!    I am also booked on this ship for an Elite cruise on 6/27 with our kids and grandkids so hopefully by the September cruises I will know my way around the ship! Love that there will now be a ship sailing from NYC year round.  I am able to drive to the port so that's a big plus!

Hello fellow cruisers!!

I'm on this sailing with my husband, Joe and his brother & sister-in-law.  We haven't sailed on CCL since 2013.  We're looking forward to this "new" Italian style ship.  

 

Does anyone know which nights are the formal nights are on this sailing.

HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO DebNJoe:  Welcome to this cruise and cruise board.  Did sail on another Carnival ship that was originally built for another subsidiary.  Then it became part of the Carnival fleet also.  

The formal nights should be the first night after the first sea day and the night before we come back to NYC.

Hello everyone! We are booked on this cruise and looking forward to it. We just got off the MSC Meraviglia from Brooklyn and we are looking forward to another "italian" style ship. We are Maria and Guy from South Jersey.
