Casino refund

I cruised to Alaska in September on the Zuiderdam. While on board I gambled and lost my $50. A few days ago I received a cheque for $53! All it said was casino Zuiderdam.  Anyone have any idea on why I received this?

I have no idea, maybe there was a problem with one of the machines that routine maintenance uncovered.  Nice!

I assume you were playing slots and not table games?  And you charged to your stateroom instead of feeding actual cash into the machine?  Then you probably neglected to "cash out" the machine and go to the cage to collect the cash.  So they sent you a check for what was remaining in the machine that was charged to your stateroom.

I played the slots with cash. I guess I did make a mistake. I am going to cash the cheque and tuck it away until our next cruise in April. Thank you all.
