Bird,

Thank you so much for your wonderful insights and fantastic photos! Your postings have been invaluable to me as I prepare for my sailing on the Prima next month.  I hope you're enjoying your cruise. I'm greatly enjoying following along. If I could ask you a question - do you know if there was a one-day laundry bag special offered during your cruise?  Trying to determine how light or heavy I want to pack for my upcoming cruise. Thanks!

Good Morning, time for some “real” coffee.

Are the Starbucks pastries included or extra charge?

It’s the Prima’s first Christmas and the galley team went all out creating dozens of gingerbread houses and hundreds of hand crafted figurines (check out the detail on each figure below).

The snowy base of the display is 10’s of gallons of Royal Icing. A young chef from the Indulge Food Hall was repeatedly lifted on to the display to lay the next section of snow (a sweet, sticky mess). And hoses, figurines and scenery was added.

Thanks for posting those pictures, Bird.  It's looking like we will be on Viva this same week next year, maybe we get lucky and they do something similar.

How did you know to be there when they were building this?  I don't see other passengers in your photos, I know you try to not include passengers, but, I suspect the building of the gingerbread city was not a public event - was it?  How did you manage to get in to see it happening (if I may ask)?

While the area was roped off to allow the chefs space to work, you could watch from afar. And the ships’s videographer who was filming the construction helped The Bird get some up close pictures to share.

BTW: the young lady charged with creating the landscape with Royal Icing has a “day job” creating ice cream master pieces at Cocos. The Bird talked with her the next day and she said that her socks and shoes were filled with icing.

Her Bird-

Are you roaming the halls late at night for these pics?

There is nobody in any of the photos...

...Rod Serling strikes a smoke. "Welcome to the Twilight Zone."

It’s a ghost ship. Only The Bird and a few ghost crew roam the halls.

With the Breakaway-class ships, NCL innovated and created an outdoors space for relaxing and dining.

with Prima–class ships, NCL takes the Waterfront concept and put it on super steroids. Ocean Boulevard, which encircles the ship, is an expansive sundeck and dining space. It includes two infinity pools and is the landing spot for dry slides that start at the top of the ship.

BA-class ships had two small portholes at the stern of the ship where you could look down at the sea below. With super steroids applied, the Prima has two Ocean Walk segments on either side of the ship where you are over the edge, walking over water.

Loving your pictures!  We spent a lot of time on Deck 8.   Strange though, we never saw the Hydration Station open during our 11 days onboard.    Have you seen it open?

The Bird has now spent 12 days on the Prima and have not seen it open. But,,, I have not spent time out there in the afternoon. Mostly a few morning laps. Mid-day, we’re on a mission… get to the food hall about 10 mins before opening, get a good table. Have some great food. Then off to afternoon activities.

Noiseboys is a fun, high energy show with outstanding tap dancing, vocals and beatboxing. For this show, the orchestra section of the theater is partially retracted to provide an additional 30’ of stage space.

If you look carefully at the shoes of the female dancer (not all noiseboys are boys) wearing high water camo pants, you can see the mic cord going down to her shoes.

Successor to White Party and Glow Party,  Sensoria is the premiere party on the Prima. Held on the Theater Club, it is a sensory overload with lights, sound, and dancers from Donna and Noiseboys. The choreographed dance party is followed by a DJ hosted party into the wee hours of the morning.

We are late risers so our time spent on Deck 8 was in the afternoon and never saw the Hydration Station open.  Guess it was an idea that just didn't work out🤔

Gorgeous pictures of that early morning arrival at POM.   Thanks for sharing another cruise with us😎

Mandalay5, we are in with you tomorrow too. We have a roll call and a couple of meet and greets planned.
