Port times

It's been a long time since our last cruise and I can't remember.  If the port time is 8am to 6pm, do we have to be back on the boat by 5 or can we be out until a little later (I know we have to be back on before 6)?  Thank you!

All aboard is 30 minutes before sail away, so for 6 pm departure you have to be back onboard by 530.  They will tell you the all aboard time and it will be posted in the compass and on the app.

Thank you! I knew it we before the listed port time, but wasn't sure how much before. We're setting up a private excursion and wanted to make sure we'd be back in time.

Edit: "I knew we had to be back" before the listed port time.

The vendor doing the shore excursion will know the ship's schedule and will make sure you are back in time. They've done this many times and their reputation depends on it.
