Passports still needed to get off ship in FDF?

Going on the Grandeur of the Seas 12/30 and Royal switched one of our ports to Fort De France. I came across info dated 2019 saying you needed a passport to disembark the ship. Can anyone confirm if it is still needed?  I am having trouble finding recent information to confirm this and when the port was switched there was no info in the email to point that out and I figured that would have been an important bit of information to include.
