We were on the NS early December and after having played pickleball once on a previous HAL cruise, thought it would fun to try the pickle ball "pick-up" activity.  We didn't participate as it was REALLY busy. Was fun to watch for awhile though and nice to see the court being so well utilized.

We have played pickleball on all of our HAL cruises.  It is such a fun and active sport, and you meet many like-minded people enjoying the sport with you!  They have held pickleball tournaments on our cruises which have attracted many curious people.  We have spent time teaching others on the ship.  One word of advise -- pack your own paddles if you have them.  The ships have always provided paddles -- which have proven to be better than nothing, however, having our own paddles has been a better option.  We will be happy to see more dedicated courts on the ships -- freeing up the backetball court for those not so interested in pickleball!  LOL
