free at sea dining upgrade

Hi - our NCL account is showing an additional 2 specialty dinners at 70pp instead of 100+pp, which would give us 4 each instead of 2.

 

Does anyone know if this same promotion is offered for free at sea guests once onboard?  We are hoping to apply our OBC towards it.

No.  Once you're onboard there are no options to purchase dining packages, just ala carte.

I have purchased dining packages onboard before.

 

It was a few years ago though, so things may have changed, and I’ve never tried buying the free at sea upgrade onboard.

WHERE CAN I PURCHASE A SPECIALTY DINING PACKAGE?

Online in our "Dining" section at ncl.com/myncl or through Norwegian Reservations at 1-866-234-7350. Once onboard you may also purchase it on the first two days of your cruise by calling or visiting any Restaurant Reservations Desk. For three and four-day cruises, this package may only be purchased on the first day of your cruise.

Thanks.  If we have two separate onboard credits is there a way to tell if either would be refundable?  I’m thinking that if we purchase the dining package with a credit card in advance we could just get refunded the onboard credit.  But I’m unsure how to tell if each of the obc would be refundable if unused.
