Dining Package - Advance vs Onboard Confusion

Hi all - we are sailing on the Getaway soon and want to purchase the extra 2 free at sea specialty dining for an additional $70pp.  This is listed as an upgrade promo.

 

We have $500 in OBC and would like to use it towards specialty dining.  Does anyone know if NCL offers this free at sea dining upgrade at the $70pp once onboard?

 

If this is not an option, how can I find out if onboard credit is refundable?  If it is, I would pay for the dining upgrade in advance and then just aim to get some of my unused OBC back at the end of the cruise (some was given by a travel agent and some was from NCL).

Your statement should say whether your OBC is refundable or not.  The BA has a separate desk in the atrium just for OBC questions.

 

you should be able to use your credit for dining, but only once onboard.

Yes they will have the 2 meal dining upgrade available on board at the online price.  We purchased it in October on the Joy.  It wasn't advertised though.  A restaurant staff member mentioned it when we were doing a walk around self tour on day one.  We struck up a conversation and I'm glad she told us about it.
