Craps on celebrity 2022

Not great.  $10 minimum with $300 max,  and only double odds unless you bet $25, then 3/4/5. Worst thing is on 6/8, they don’t even allow more odds than double to make payoff simpler - they pay with $1 chips. Not a busy table. Unfortunate. Will go on a different line in future.

Sorry to hear this as wife and I are craps players.  In a past cruise, the craps table saw little action with a $10 minimum.  However, after telling the casino manager we would play with a $5 minimum, he opened the table at that level.

Unfortunate.  If you bet $10, only double odds even on the 6/8. Every single other cruise line has allowed players to use 5 units as odds on 6/8 in double odds game. This means you end up with a bunch of dollar chips. Dealers are nice but very inexperienced which is not unexpected as cruise lines recover from covid. However, this “double” rule is just bad for business as who wants to play at a table like this. Other cruise lines much better. Very disappointed with celebrity for craps. No wonder no one plays craps.  They are all on other cruise lines like me next time.

I was on the Apex in November and they were extremely short handed when it came to craps dealers. It was so bad they usually only opened one side of the table because they only had a boxman, a stickman, and a single dealer.

Yes, it was $10 minimum even though many people tried to persuade the casino host to open a $5 game once in a while. He'd smile but politely decline. The same host had no problem lowering the stakes at the poker table from 2/5 NL to 1/2. This was a 14 day transatlantic.

Back to craps, we had no trouble getting more than double odds on 6/8. Was allowed to back up $10 pass line bet with $25 every time.

It's a little off topic but I something similar at the poker table. I noticed on Beyond they are now listing the Texas `Em cash game as a $5/$10 No Limit game.  That game plays really huge, you would probably need to buy in $500 minimum and be prepared to reload if you wanted to play that.  I play in several of the largest poker rooms in Los Angeles and Las Vegas and there will be dozens of $1/$2 or $2/$5 tables but only a few $5/$10 or higher tables.  The blinds may have been raised because this cruise is over the New Years break but it seems they are just trying to stick it to the captive audience.

I played craps on the Summit back in April and I think the minimum bet on the pass or come line was $5. I had a couple hundred non-refundable OBC I was trying to play through and managed to convert most of it.

We noticed the same backing of odds restrictions on Royal Caribbean as well. We havent sailed a different company line since COVID, so not sure how the others compare. We wont play craps on royal or celebrity anymore.
