  1. No, the menus you see in the app are from the current sailing so if the current sailing is a four night cruise and you booked a seven night cruise sailing in a couple months it will show the MDR closed on nights 5,6 & 7.
  2. I just booked the 12 Night Canaries, Spain & Morocco on Infinity for February 2027 because I was able to book it with a refundable deposit at no extra charge and I got a good price on the cruise $1445 for solo passenger. I may end up canceling if something better comes along but the itinerary sounds interesting to me. I would not have booked it if I had to pay a $450 non-refundable deposit.
  3. I took the ferry to St. Georges for $5 each way. I then did a walking tour for $10 that I bought once we landed in St. Georges. Some info on Bermuda if you want to explore on your own or go to Horseshoe Bay.
  4. You get assigned a cabin in a noisy location (above the Theatre or lounge or next to a crew service door that bangs shut numerous times of day or night) or one with a lot of sea motion (very far forward or aft).
  5. Make sure you go to Eden Presents: Night of Dreams show.( get there early if you want a decent seat) I thought it was the best production show on the ship. The cast is amazing, great male and female lead singers, excellent dancers and the performer who plays Alice is spectacular.
  6. Eden absolutely IS INCLUDED in the Specialty Dining Package. I had the Unlimited Specialty Dining Package on my recent Apex Transatlantic crossing and ate there 5 nights out of 12. You just can't reserve a date and time for the seating until you're onboard the ship. I was able to make all my reservations as soon as I boarded and had no problem getting the times I wanted.
  7. If you're on an Edge class ship and are willing to pay extra I recommend Le Grand Bistro for lunch, $30 per person + 20% gratuity. Raw on 5 or Sushi on 5 will usually be available for embarkation lunch, price is à la carte + 20% gratuity.
  8. Another solo traveler here. I typically pay the same price that a couple would pay for a cabin minus one set of port fees & taxes. That's just the price of sailing alone. There were some dates earlier this year where a solo passenger was being charged more than a couple would pay for the same room, in some cases up to 50%. (I'm only talking about cruise-only rates, Celebrity really screws over solo passengers who book All Included rates)
  9. We need another PUP opportunity. Come on X, let's do it.
  10. I took this on Reflection but Solstice should be the same
  11. I have it booked at 35% off but keep checking to see if there's a Black Friday Flash sale for 45% off. If so, I'll cancel & rebook.
  12. Fresh Red Snapper in Eden, Dover Sole in Le Grand Bistro

  14. While not the same, Eden Bar featured a solo guitarist or an acoustic duo most nights in the evening. The biggest problem with the Eden Bar is the lousy, low seating that's not designed for the typical senior citizen.
  15. Le Grand Bistro, Raw on 5 and Rooftop Garden Grill are open for lunch on sea days. I’ve seen Fine Cut Steakhouse open for lunch on occasion on previous transatlantic crossings but it’s not open for lunch on this crossing. The limit in Raw on 5 is $35.
  16. It docks downtown, the pier is a few hundred meters long then you’re on the road next to the malecon. You can look it up on your favorite maps app.
  17. I ate at Eden Restaurant at 5:30 pm. Crystallize was at 7:30 pm ( and again at 9:30 pm) and Eden: Night of Dreams was at 10:45 pm. Night of Dreams is performed in the Eden Bar and Lounge area at the back of deck 5.
  18. I really enjoyed the port. The city and the island are beautiful. The landscape is so lush and green. The descriptive signs in the fort were bilingual - Portuguese and English.
  19. I never found it necessary to make lunch reservations but that’s good to know.
  20. Le Grand Bistro and Raw on 5 are frequently open on port days including embarkation day. I skipped them on embarkation day and ate in the buffet since I knew I would have 9 sea days to enjoy them for free.
  21. Re beverage upgrades: I’ve seen it as low as $8.99 per person per day during a flash sale.
  22. I’m currently on Apex doing its transatlantic crossing and I have the Unlimited Specialty Dining Package. I’ve had no issues with getting into Specialty Restaurants for lunch (on sea days) or dinner. Although you can’t make reservations for lunch I’ve been able to get into any specialty dining venue on a sea day that I choose on a walk up basis. I made all my dinner reservations first thing after I boarded the ship. It’s bizarre that they would tell you the opposite of the terms in the description.
  23. I walked from the ship to the Portas da Cidade ( the gate to the city) in the main square then to a few churches and finally to the fort which was open for free because of a military holiday. I then walked back to the ship. I walked about three miles in about three hours stopping to take pictures of the landmarks and church interiors as well as touring the fort. I stopped at Jardim Botânico António Borges in the afternoon as part of a shore excursion bus tour so I’m not sure how long the walk would be from the ship. I think it’s doable if you’re a regular walker and in shape and like to sightsee on your own. I didn’t do any shopping in town since it was Sunday morning and most shops were closed. I don't know if they opened in the afternoon since I spent the afternoon on my shore excursion bus tour going to the lakes and a pineapple plantation.
  24. Apex offer two production shows today – Crystallize and Eden: Night of Dreams. Both shows were spectacular. Get there early if you want a good seat. I got to The Theatre for Crystallize about a half hour before showtime and The Theatre was almost full. I was able to get a seat in the third row in a gap in the other passengers. I went to Eden directly after Crystallize because in knew I wanted a good spot. I was almost two hours early but once I got there I ordered a drink from the cocktail waitress then listened to my podcasts until the show started. The women who played the Queen could really sing. Alice was amazing as well doing a death defying aerial act. I highly recommend both shows.
