One Nighter in Marigot

Will be embarking 3/25; SXM-SJU;  Would appreciate suggestions for accommodations for 1 night prior to departure from Marigot.   Thanks for your suggestions!

I’m a big fan of Grand Case which is about a 15 minute taxi ride from Marigot (and about 25 minutes from the airport.  Marigot has fallen on hard times since Irma so I would not recommend you stay overnight in Marigot.  I like Grand Case because of its lovely seafront and wide choice of great restaurants.  We just returned from a short stay at LTC Hotel and was very happy with it. It has a fun relaxed vibe.

Another vote for Grand Case. Beautiful place and great restaurants.  One hotel you might consider there is Hotel L’Esplanade.  We love it.

If you were leaving from Philipsburg, would you still stay in Grand Case?

It’s just a little bit longer cab ride from the airport,  so yes we would.  But we will typically spend at least two days on island before cruise departure day.  

 

I am sure there are plenty of great places to stay in and around Philipsburg, and I would certainly likely stay near the port if I was just flying in the evening prior to departure.
