Port Canaveral Drop-Off...What Can We Expect...?

We will be driving a couple of friends for their cruise out of Port Canaveral later in January...so we're wondering what we can expect in terms of traffic, baggage, etc. in the area and as we get to the cruise terminal....?  They are cruising on the Norwegian Escape (Haven) and their check-in time will be 9:30 a.m.  It will be a Saturday...and there will be 4 ships (including the Escape) arriving/departing that day.  

 

Any and all info and suggestions are greatly appreciated...

I had a similar question, since I will be dropping off three fellow passengers at the ship before going to park. How difficult is it to get close to the ship for drop-off on a weekend day with four ships in port?

It should be fairly simple…follow signs to ship, follow the cabs to drop off point..drop and go.

I was in Port Canaveral a few weeks ago.  Drop off was pretty smooth, some traffic but not terrible.  Traffic was pretty bad on the return-- it took forever to get a rideshare accepted and at least 20 minutes for them to get through the port traffic to pick us up.
