cooper landing car rental

We will be on a Princess land tour pre-cruise in June.  We have 2 whole days in Cooper landing and I would love a rental car for independent exploration.  Unfortunately I only see rental car companies in Seward or Anchorage. Does anyone know of any other car rental options.  Google wasn't much help.

There are none. Seward and Anchorage are it. We flew into Anchorage, took the train to Seward the next morning, picked up our rental car there, then backtracked to Moose Pass where we had a cabin rented for 4 days prior to our cruise. On the day the cruise left, we just dropped the car off in Seward and then they dropped us off at the ship.

I agree with Mountaineer0313. Have spent a lot of time in Cooper Landing and do not recall a car rental place. Years ago someone else asked same question on here and supposedly there was a small rental place but have not seen it. It really is not a town but an area. Great area to go fishing and hiking in. Have a cocktail on the deck of the Princess Lodge. Great view.

I wonder if our OP has checked with gas stations in the Cooper Landing area.  In a number of small Alaska communities gas stations have used cars they can rent for the day.

Thankyou I have not heard about the gas stations.  I will definitely look into it.

@laurobella:  A number of these small communities have gas stations which rent used vehicles.  When we flew to Nome, Alaska for several days of birding we rented a 4-wheel drive truck from a gas station -- the only place in Nome to rent cars.  So contact (goggle) the Cooper Landing visitor's center (they have a combined chamber of commerce and visitor center, which is also common in these small communities) to ask, as they may know.  They can certainly provide a list of local gas stations.
