Athens Pre-Cruise Places To Stay?

Hi. Any recommendations for a hotel that's mutually convenient access wise from the airport and then getting to the port, ideally who can help with pre booked (fixed price) taxis. We arrive late Friday evening for our cruise the next day so don't need a base for sightseeing moreso a decent 4 * start type hotel that's on a route from airport to port.... if such a route exists !!.

The Athens Gate hotel would be perfect for you.  Search this board for lots of info.

Also the Hera hotel.

We are staying at Pireaus City Hotel at port, using Georges taxi from Airport to hotel, 75 euro for upto 4 people. Hotel is by gate 9 to port.

Don't suppose anybody knows if the Azamara ships depart from Gate 9 (will try and contact them myself and ask)

You are looking for 4*. Do look at the Athens Gate and don't miss breakfast at the rooftop restaurant with views of the Acropolis.  You have the whole morning for a walk in the Plaka before you need to get to the ship.

i have just booked us into the Athens Gate for pre cruise in September. 2 nights.

great location, fabulous views, looks like the perfect place to tour Athens before our cruise.
