Projector and DVD player …

Here is dumb question for all of you. In an old-school-forget-about-streaming solution:

Is there any reason a small projector and a DVD player would be disallowed on a cruise? 
 

Not really interested in opinions or commentary about whether or not it is worthwhile, etc. Just wondering if there is any reason these two items would be flagged by baggage inspection.

They might be flagged, but will in all likelihood would be allowed after inspection.

You could bring your DVD player and just plug it into the room TV via an HDMI cable, save yourself the trouble of bringing a projector with you.

I read the prohibit list and didn’t see anything that would disallow, but I wasn’t sure.

I have been in many hotels where this works … just as many where it doesn’t.

The DVD player and the projector are both less than 6”x6”x2” and weigh less than a pound each. Size and hassle isn’t an issue. Just don’t want to cause any problems during embarkation.

I have hooked up many devices to TV's on NCL cruises via HDMI port in the past, so much so I would be confident not bringing the projector just the DVD player and some DVD's

No problem. Just don't leave them plugged in when you are not in your cabin.

I appreciate your confidence. I’ll just bring the DVD player. (And some movies too.)

Should not be an issue just make sure you have an extension cord to plug the stuff into.   I wish I had brought my projector the TV in our cabin on the  Star was small and pretty far away.
