Celebration: Port or Starboard side?

The ships may dock on either side of the pier. My recommendation is to determine which time of day you prefer sunshine. If you have a room with a window or balcony (PORT side), you will have sunrise on journey south, then have sunset on trip north.

Opposite for starboard side rooms.

I always choose port going to the Caribbean for a few reasons.

1) When we pull into San Juan we go right by the fort and get great views.

2) going south we almost always get a sunrise on our balcony

3) coming back we almost always get a sunset.

Also, the port side is even numbers and it makes it easier for me to remember after drinking 😉

If you are getting a balcony for sure then find out which side has the outdoor smoking on it.  On MG the smoking side is on starboard side (seems to be that way on many ships) so port may be the better choice if that is a thing for you.  We are always port side people for our balcony or suites.

Smoking on Celebration is on starboard side of Decks 8 and 17, towards aft.
