Cannot get dining reservation on the app - can I arrange reservations on day of embarkation?

I cannot get a dining table for 10 at the time that I want through the app.  Will I have better luck if I request it in person on the day of embarkation?

Tables for 10 are limited; if you can get one at a reasonable time, go ahead and reserve that and then try to change to a better time onboard.  But a bird in hand is worth two on the bush as they say.  How far out is your cruise?

I want to get early dining (530pm) but the only options on the app are 840pm which is far too late as there are young children in our travel party

I ran into this same thing on a previous cruise with a party of 8.  We finally just made 2 different reservations for the time we wanted...then when we showed up they were always able to accommodate us.  YMMV, however.

If you have a TA or CVP they may be able to help.  

If you’re on separate bookings, just book the DMW that way at the same time, same DR and then talk with the DR mgr when you board at lunch or dinner.

It seems no matter how they try to "pitch" that darn Medallion App...nothing beats a friendly conversation with a real person to get what you want!

App doesn't always work too..mines crashes
