When can you expect to hear on your MoveUp bid?

It could occur anytime from the time you made the bid up until 48 hours from the departure time of the cruise.   At the 48 hour mark -  rejections are sent out and the manifest is locked and sent to Homeland Security.

What happens if people "no show" for a suite, for instance. If all the rejections are sent at 48 hrs, do they just let that cabin go empty even when a bunch of people might have bid on it? I had thought I heard that some people even hear about a positive move up the day of the cruise.
