When can you expect to hear on your MoveUp bid?

We have bid on an upgrade from an Aqua Suite to a Sky Suite and was curious on when should expect to hear if the bid was accept.  Not sure if just days before your sailing or if weeks prior?

We have only had one successful move-up bid and received notification about 4 days prior to the cruise. I'm pretty sure that the fine print says they process move-up offers until 48 hours prior to cruise time.

Per an email from celebritymoveup@celebrity.com, "bids can be confirmed up to 48 hours to sailing".

It could occur anytime from the time you made the bid up until 48 hours from the departure time of the cruise.   At the 48 hour mark -  rejections are sent out and the manifest is locked and sent to Homeland Security.

What happens if people "no show" for a suite, for instance. If all the rejections are sent at 48 hrs, do they just let that cabin go empty even when a bunch of people might have bid on it? I had thought I heard that some people even hear about a positive move up the day of the cruise.
