jkneern Posted January 15, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 15, 2023 I see there are a few different times for both early and late dining. I’m guessing they assign when you board? Will we be seated alone, just the 2 of us or do they put you at a table with others?
Rare Essiesmom Posted January 15, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 15, 2023 Most likely you will be seated with others. EM
Rare Match Game 72 Posted January 15, 2023 #3 Share Posted January 15, 2023 We have sailed with MSC six times. Each time we were seated with only those in our party. Five sailings were in the Caribbean.
Rare styles27 Posted January 15, 2023 #4 Share Posted January 15, 2023 Just back from Divina. Dining times depend on how many pax are on your particular cruise. When we booked we chose first seating and requested a table for 2. On our paperwork it said first seating 6:30pm Boarded 12/30th. Cruise card said our dining time was 5:30pm. There were 3800 pax so 3 dinner seatings. First night went to dinner found we were at a table for 6. Sat down and waited for our table mates to come. 2 ladies appeared. They spoke no English at all in fact they didn’t even respond when we greeted them. Our waiter tried but couldn’t communicate with them either. After a very uncomfortable dinner we stopped and spoke to the manager. He told us that he could move us to a table for 2 but we had to keep the 5:30 time as 7:30 was wait listed. They also had a 3rd seating @ 9:30 but that is much too late for us. So we moved to a table for 2 and hit the jackpot. We had the best server, Generose. She made our cruise so special! We looked forward to dinner each night even though it was a little early and we had to rush to get there especially on port days. If you go to the dining room and find you’re not at a table for 2 speak to the manager and he will accommodate you if he can.
