LUGGAGE

Recommended Posts

Unless its changed paul and we have done numerous Med cruises from Palma with our last one in July and we,ve always had to collect our luggage at airport and take to transfer coach. After that next time you see your luggage should be outside your cabin if you have pre booked your cabin. However If you haven,t pre booked your cabin it used to be you were given your cabin label at the port and you then had to attach them to your luggage before the were delivered. This may have changed

Hope that makes sense

Just one question. Do you attach your luggage label to your suitcase before flying out or wait until you retrieve it at Palma and attach before taking to the transfer coach? We have booked specific cabins.

Hi PJs

you attach luggage labels in the uk, it will save you messing about with them at the Palma luggage carousel.😉

As Brummijam says but as they are just printed off version we purchased cruise luggage tags otherwise it debatable if they,d still be on your luggage by the time it reaches Palma

On previous cruises we have seen a number of fellow passengers just attaching their luggage labels after retrieving their suitcase and pre coach transfer

Hi Jim.

It depends on how well you attach them, I need bolt croppers and a bit of time to get ours off when we get back home.😂

Just had booking letter from TUI that states that you do not collect suitcases following flight , they go straight to ship also that a bus collects passengers direct from plane , do not go through airport.(barbados). One less hassle

Hi Paul.

The opening post from Janros was an enquiry regarding Palma airport Spain, it looks like your trip is to Grantley Adams airport Barbados where the procedure is as you described.😉

We bought the Plastic sleeves of Amazon and attached when we arrived at our destination when we lugged our cases off the carousel (sp) they are very strong and can be used for eons.

I bought the same ones from Amazon and have used them for all our cruises but never for a fly cruise which we will be doing in April. Think I will do as you did and attach them when we retrieve our luggage from the carousel in Palma. Roll  on spring!!!
