  1. Hi Ki. Have a look here, taxi is app €30 from the airport area. There are a few ways to reach Palma de Mallorca port from the airport. Taxis can be found outside the main airport terminal. The fare to the cruise port costs around €25-30, but it’s always worth clarifying prior to departure as some taxi’s operate on a meter system. The journey time is approximately 20 minutes, and the same costs apply returning from Palma port to the airport. Private Transfer Palma de Mallorca Airport to Cruise Port It’s also possible to arrange a private transfer shuttle from Palma de Mallorca airport to cruise port. They are often cheaper for groups travelling together. The vehicle prices range from €25-30 for four people, to €37-40 for up to six people. Bus from Palma de Mallorca Airport to Cruise Port If you are arriving at Palma airport and wish to travel by bus to port of Palma de Mallorca cruise terminal, there are currently no direct public bus services. The A1 bus will transport you from the airport, firstly to Passeig Mallorca in the city’s Old Town, and here you transfer to bus no. 1 at (stop 19) β€œInstituts” or (stop 20) β€œJaume III”. This bus takes you directly to the cruise port and the cost for the entire combined trip is €8 per person. I Would think a taxi would be the easiest option.πŸ˜‰
  2. Last time that we were in tenerife my wife was struggling to walk (She had twisted her knee a couple of weeks earlier) At the check in building/ tent there were four or five crew with wheelchairs and one of them approached us and offered the wheelchair which we accepted and he pushed the chair all of the way to our cabin.πŸ™‚ I must agree the walk from the coach drop off to the ship is decent especially if you are less able.
  3. That’s a shame, can’t you book assistance at the airport? Dont know where you are flying from but at Birmingham it’s a pretty good service.
  4. From a quick google search. Unsure how recent this is but it’s exactly the menu that we had last September.
  5. And as I recall no bar. πŸ₯² It’s an outside seating area for the market place buffet.
  6. That’s disappointing, we always went back to the cabin after the turndown service and picked our copy up so that we could muse over the following days offerings,☹️ Hi RR hope all is well with you and yours.πŸ˜‰
  7. Our trip on June 3rd has dining and spa treatments but no excursions as yet.
  8. Fortunately for you paying the extra cost for a private car isn’t going to break the bank, The original poster has a 300 mile plus journey so a private car would be astronomical. Your reply hasn’t really helped the topic being discussed.πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ
  9. Included return chauffeur service A chauffeur will pick you up from home and take you to the port at Dover or Portsmouth. 2024 cruises: A private chauffeur if you live up to 75 miles of the port each way or a shared chauffeur service up to 300 miles. 2025 cruises: A private chauffeur if you live up to 75 miles of the port each way or a shared chauffeur service nationwide As a previous poster has said everything is always negotiable. Worst possible scenario is you end up paying for the few extra miles.
  10. Eastern med is always slightly more expensive than western med so it’s about right. you can do a western med cruise called β€œHighlights of the med” on 6 of May with a seven day stay in Majorca included for Β£1521 each base price,Worth a look if you haven’t done the western med before. The same trip with a 4 night stay in Majorca is Β£1444.
  11. Yes the land side operation does leave a lot to be desired, but they don’t seem that bothered with trying to improve it.πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ
  12. You can see why they got rid of the onboard laundromat.😳 Makes sense to turn your skidders inside out for another days wear.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Hope you enjoy your upcoming trip Jim.πŸ‘
  13. You are welcome. The daily newsletter is delivered to your room when they do the turndown service. It gives details of activities, locations, and times on the ship also restaurant and bar opening times. Other info is the port authority’s and the ships phone no. unfortunatly there are no maps but I think that reception may print them on request. Hope this helps.
  14. They did when we last did a trip on Marella (Explorer2. Last September)πŸ‘πŸ»
  15. Is this a Peaky Blinders project.?πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  16. Hi pennib. We were on explorer the week before Christmas 22. We also found the beds slightly hard. I think the problems at Manchester Airport will be resolved later this year, when the new security halls are completed, With regards to Tenerife, my wife who is able bodied unfortunately turned her ankle a couple of days before we embarked and was limping into the check in building, a young phillipino lad came to us with a wheelchair and wheeled her straight to our cabin we were very impressed so not all bad. keep well.
  17. Three floors up for food and one floor down for drinks, perfect location.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‰
  18. We have been on Explorer many times, it’s a nice ship. Some of the beds have been a bit too firm for my liking but we were informed on our last trip that mattress toppers were available. Hope you have a great time.πŸ˜‰
  19. For March 2025 I would start looking after Christmas.
  20. Hi Will.when are you going on your trip? Marella are pretty slow at putting the excursions online, We are away first week in June and nothing online regarding booking excursions, restaurants, spa treatments as yet.πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ
