Camel Excursion in Cabo

Has anyone done any camel excursions that weren't through the boat and what was your experience?

We had one booked through Royal Caribbean in March and it was canceled.  We get into port at 1:00 and are there until 11:00 p.m.

I understand that you have to purchase the tour's photos and you cannot bring a phone or any belongings with you.  Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks!

This website from TripAdvisor (CruiseCritics parent company) may help. The camel ride is offered in combo with other activities but you may be able to extract the information you need from the numerous reviews.

We did this outside of the ship.  Just remember that ship time (arrival in particular) and Cabo excursion time are an hour different.  We missed the bus to get to the excursion (40 min. away) and had to hire a taxi to get there.

Thanks for the head's up on the time.  We are planning on doing the ship excursion if we do this.
