Thoughts on Tabayna Beach Excursion provided by Carnival

I have never been to Tabayna Beach before.   We have done the Mahogany Bay Beach and Skylift thru Carnival the last time we were there.  I would like to do some good snorkeling this time.

We don't usually do ship excursion, but snorkeling is great in that area.   If you prefer to do excursions on your own, you could contact Bananarama or Inifinity Bay to arrange a day pass.  Here's a link to google maps.  You can see how close the reef is to the shore.

Thanks much for the replies.  They are very helpful.  Looks like Tabanya Beach is what I am looking for.  Reef looks really close.

The best snorkeling i've done  was off Tabyana beach with a local off the shore, it was great and inexpensive

I did the Tabyana Beach excursion through Princess last week. (Carnival passengers were there as well) Snorkeling was excellent! Right from the beautiful sandy beach. Super easy and stunning! The beach itself is really beautiful, but it gets BUSY during the day. We got off the ship at 7am so we arrived super early and chose loungers under the palm trees. I would definitely do it again. Wow. Thanks Joeybun for the pic.  It looks incredible.  Can’t hardly wait until May.  We have had ice back here in Oklahoma.

Yes West Bay has sandflies and other bugs that carry all manner of nasty. Take a bug repellent that works would well for you. 

 

With that said, the bugs seem to be indivdual in their meals... you may not be bothered at all while the person next to you will get eaten alive without some sort of block.

Agree with @Guest 2000

 

Any beach on Roatan is subject to no-seeums on a given day.

 

It won’t happen every time, to every person, but is highly likely.
