MSC Merviglia position in Ocean Cay question. Help!

Really considering booking the MSC Merviglia from NY>FL>Bahamas.  While the ship is docked at Ocean Cay, I'd like to see the lighthouse lightshow from my ship room balcony.  So what side of the ship would I be looking to book?  And would it have to be the front of the ship to get a good view of the lighthouse/light show?

Technically, the ship can dock on either side.

 

However, 99% of the time, the ship docks with the starboard side facing the island. 😉

Starboard.      As long as it’s not windy and doesn’t have to go in the other direction.

Wow, this is the perfect view!   Was your room in the front of the ship..or do you think that matters?  Did you enjoy the light show, and if so, from your room, or from the lighthouse beach/bar?

I’m aft. Next to the panoramic elevator.  
and didn’t see the show unfortunately.   We left at 5 pm on this cruise.   
 

id recommend a room close to the panoramic elevators.    Easy acces to everything and it’s kinda like your private elevator.

Show last two times was like five minutes max.  Apparently much more involved when first started late 2019.

I do not think that the show is that amazing to be honest.  It is ok the first time you see it but I did not have a need to see it again.  Just my opinion

Actually. It looks kinda cool.   
kinda like the Las Vegas Fremont experience on a lighthouse.
