Best Cruise Line For Us

We have been on one cruise so far with NCL on the Dream. While we loved the ship and think NCL is great, there just weren't enough activities to keep us from getting bored, especially on sea days or late at night. We had a balcony room, so we ended up spending a lot of time in there, rather than enjoying the rest of the ship. We are wanting to cruise again this year, but are having a hard time picking because we aren't sure which cruise line offers the most activities. We aren't big on gambling, drinking, or bingo. Any help is much appreciated!

Royal Caribbean is a great cruise line for pax activities. The bars and casino is open late into the early morning hours. Their Voyager class ships (Voyager of the Seas, Expolorer of the Seas, & Adventure of the Seas) have a rock climbing wall, ice skating rink, full court basketball, 9 hole miniature golf, golf simulator, awesome entertainment, etc. RCCL offers great itinerary based excursions and plenty to choose from. IMHO...you can't go wrong with Royal Caribbean. peruse their website...here is the link:

Out of three different lines that we've sailed, I would say that RCCL has the most diverse activities. The Mariner has ice skating, in-line skate track, rock climbing, awesome b-ball courts, miniature golf course, table tennis, great solarium for adults with huge hot tubs, diving certification on board, (not to mention a dive shop on pool deck). Carnival Glory is a beautiful ship as well but does not have the options like RCCl. The CB (Princess) had MUTS and that was a fun option. She is a beauty also. Any line you choose...you will win. You'll be cruisin';)

For most activities, Royal Caribbean's Voyager class and the brand new Freedom class beat out every other ships by a mile. Ice skating, roller blading, rock climbing, mini golf, and the new Freedom will even have surfing.

I agree with the other posters....Royal Caribbean Voyager class ships are awesome and there is so much to do, you can't get it all done. I also love Princess Grand class, have been on the Grand and the Golden and liked the Golden best for the great southern itinerary it does as well as all the entertainment options from one end of the ships to the other. I've been on one Carnival ship that was pretty lively and am booked on another this spring. I've also been on 2 Norwegian ships, just loved the freestyle, and the staff was good but.......honestly, I really did not like the Dream and I'm glad it was not my first cruise. I found it to be the most unstable ship plus it was so boring and I am not a party person but an older woman. I'm glad that you are still willing to try another one after that. There are so many wonderful choices out there and I would even try one of Norwegian's newer and larger ships if the itinerary was good....but I wouldn't go back on the Dream for any reason. Have fun choosing the next one..Happy sails
