Deal or No Deal show

Can someone please, for the love of all that is Holy, please remind me on my next cruise to keep my money for other things.

After not learning, the first, second or third cruise to stop making donations, I fell for the hype and did it again.

"Now let's see who has won prizes!"  Well, of course the lady who had three matches is now the only person to have 4 matches.  Nobody won the big prizes in either game?  That's a shock.  Why does my game board have 4 $25.00 denominations to match when there is only one for the contestant on stage.  Ah....I get it

Curious, has anyone, or know of anyone that won the free cruise bingo or the $5000 jackpot bingo?  Asking for a friend.

On our cruise last week someone won a "free cruise", on our Christmas cruise there was a $1000 winner (the contestant on stage) and someone else won $400 (contestant on stage).

Obviously the odds of winning very much are pretty small, and I as a Carnival shareholder appreciate your donations.  😁

This past week we won $25 in bingo off 3 cards that cost $50.  Our best ever was $30 in casino cash plus $25 in bingo; not bad.  We did witness the contestant correctly pick her case last week and win $1000. Very exciting.

Last week on a different ship our daughter won $30 in casino play and $25 in bingo her first time ever playing. She was on Glory with @groundloopexcitedly reporting that someone had won a 5 night cruise. She then parlayed her casino money into something like $60.  All good; she had a great time.

Deal or No Deal is a blast. We get plenty of entertainment value and occasionally do 'just fine'.  Play every cruise.

To me the $25 is worth the entertainment value.  I have won a $25 bingo package more than half the time, and I have also won the $30 casino play and the $50 cash.  I’ll continue to play, but I only buy one $25 card for each game.

Last week the two on-stage winners walked away with about $117 and under $20.  I don’t recall the exact amount but those figures are about right.  One person won $200 in one game and I believe the first game there was a $100 winner in the audience.  The people on the stage of course have the best chance in play.  Those of us with cards that have to “match” their suitcases is a joke.  On stage there is only one suitcase with each monetary amount but our cards have multiple duplicates of the same amount.

I also love that the prizes you win, with the exception of cash, are giving it right back to them. Plus the additional hope you might just drop a little more of your money in the casino or to buy more bingo cards. Make all the prizes either cash on your sign and sail card or the free cruise.

Years ago, my mom won a cruise through bingo.  Then years later, she won a massive gift basket with Two Carnival robes, Two Spa towels, and a ton of other items in it.  It was a decent win. I get free cruises sent via the casino almost daily.  The odds are WAY more in your favor.  Go hit some slot machines and you too can win cruises all the time 🙂

The way I look at it, a couple bucks on lottery ticket can win a million.  $25 each card, 2 for $40 or 3 for $50 cards for deal or no deal might help you break even or a little better.

For me, the fun was sucked out once you realize the cards are stacked against you. At least when I play the lottery I know I have better odds of getting struck by lightning.  🤪

I do play the slots.  Not enough money to get offered a free cruise though.

That is great for your Mom! I’m glad to hear someone is winning.

I have to say, we didn’t spend the money on it on our last cruise thinking it was a waste but watched anyway. I regretted not buying.  I would next time just for the entertainment. It was fun. Would have been more fun to play.

The odds are always stacked in favour of the house is my motto.

It's entertainment. We play every cruise, and most times we win most or all of our money back. Bingo package, Patti likes to play the last Jackpot Coverall on the last day anyway. $30 Fun Play, I'm in the casino anyway. We've won $50 a couple of times. But the big draw for me is the chance to be the on-stage contestant. I was selected once.  Lots of fun! You'll have to read our Legend review to see how I did! :classic_laugh:

When I was on the Panorama a couple of weeks ago, my sister came along, and it was her first Carnival cruise.  She was just going to watch Deal or No Deal and “see what it’s like” before buying a card.  I convinced her to buy, and lo and behold, her number was selected to go on stage.  She only won $103, having turned down $200+, but it sure was fun for her, and for me watching her too!

I often wonder how ticked the audience would be if someone decides to take the first offer.  Lol. There would hardly be any winners from the audience then.

That’s one of the reasons my sister held off, to give the people in the audience a chance to win.  I later found out from the CD that once the contestant on stage takes their win, the game continues so the people in the audience still have their chance to win.

I was the contestant on stage.

I ended up taking $188 as my offer. If I had stopped one round sooner I would have had over $400.  I had picked $.01 for my suitcase so I could have ended up with much less.

I had a great time.

If I remember correctly there were two people who won more than I did and about 10 who won something.

This.  It's not an issue at all.

I did see someone win a free cruise at Bingo a few years ago. Saw her later waiting for an elevator and got to talk with her. She said it was a 5 day cruise in an interior. She was going to look into paying the difference for a balcony when the time came.

On my last cruise a first time cruiser won the $1000 playing Deal or No Deal. I think the other person only won $10. I played along and won a bingo package and $30 fun play in the casino.

The hubby and I enjoy it, we get the three cards for $50. On our last cruise we won $30 Fun Play on all three cards, it was loaded onto hubby’s S&S by the next day. We it more entertaining than bingo which is boring and takes too long. Plus a lot of people buy a bunch of extra cards which makes our odds of winning go way down. I wish they would have Deal or No Deal twice on a 7 day cruise.

My family was on the Miracle in December.  We usually don't play Bingo or Deal or No Deal but decided it would be fun this time.  For Deal or No Deal, we won the $30 Casino Play (they just gave us the money when we went to the Casino to cash it out.) and $200 cash.

We played the $5000 Bingo. We were one number shy of the $5000 but the round before we won $500.

It was a good time.
