Volendam. anyone recently cruised on her?

The reviews are all over the map on this ship. Can a recent cruiser please let me know the condition of the ship ?  How is the food? Cutbacks are so  obvious on other lines so we were wondering how HAL has been affected. We've cruised for many years on Princess, Celebrity and Royal Caribbean. Looking to try something different and the Volendam has a great itinerary to Canada/NE. Please, anyone! Give us some insight!!

We were on the Volendam for the Christmas cruise last month. It's an older ship, but still in good shape. I posted about our trip when we got back. The first night at dinner service was slow but after that it was great. The air conditioning in our cabin wasn't working but we were moved to a different cabin and all was well. The service was excellent as always. Overall we enjoyed it and are booked on 3 more HAL cruises.

We enjoyed our cruise on Volendam in November and December.  The ship seems in great shape and the crew was wonderful.

Kurtimi03... could you please share which cabin you had that had air conditioning problems?  We are booked on several upcoming cruises and wish to avoid that situation.

7048 had air conditioning that did not work. We were moved to 6206 and the air worked great.
