Problem Booking via Princess Cruises Website - Sapphire Princess - Alaska

Hi

New on here and booking a Princess Cruise for the first time via the Website and have experienced a slight problem.

I'm UK based and my daughter works as a dancer on Sapphire Princess. We plan to visit her on the ship to do a 14 Day Alaska Cruise later in the year. As we are members of the Corporate Afilliate Program we can book Online and receive a Discount as she works for Princess. When Booking Online I've selected the Princess Plus Fare to include Drinks, WiFi etc - however it doesn't matter whether I select Princess Plus Fare or Princess Standard - the fare appears as the same price. When I continue the Booking there is nowhere that confirms that I have selected the Princess Plus Fare so I am reluctant to pay in full until I know I have booked the correct package.

I would call Princess but they are not open for Business until later today as we are 8 Hours ahead in UK Time. Thought I'd ask here first.

Thanks for all advice in advance.

Is it possible that you qualify for "free" Princess Plus?  Did you try to go to the regular website without logging in to compare the price and see if does the same thing?  It does sound like you will have to contact Princess as it could be a mistake, but I don't think anyone here will know for sure.

Hmm - seems it could have been a problem with the Princess Website. I can now see 2 prices - 1 for Princess Standard and 1 For Princess Plus. It now confirms this on a second page. However there seems to be no Corporate Affiliate Discount - the prices are the same whether logged in for Corporate Affiliate Discount or just a query on the website when not logged in i.e. as a normal customer. I've spoken to UK Princess Booking and they cannot apply Corporate Affiliate Discount but the guy did say it's possible that Popular Cruises may not offer a discount. So I'll ring the US Office. I did try a couple of trial Bookings for Caribbean Cruises when logged into Corporate Affiliate and there was a Discount compared to just booking via a normal query - so maybe I'm unlucky in that the cruise we want doesn't offer a discount. I'll confirm with US Booking Office later and let you know.

Well I eventually managed to make a Booking - may help others trying to Book Online. I solved the issue of seeing the same price for Princess Standard and Princess Plus - once you've selected Princess Premium hit F5 or refresh page in the Browser and the updated price will appear and on the next page it asks you to confirm Princess Plus. There was a Discount but not a huge one - like someone said it's probably booked up and popular but I did notice if Booking a more expensive cabin the Discount was much bigger and also super cheap to add Passengers 3 + 4 to the same Cabin. Thanks for your help. By the way when it came to pay I put in my UK Address and Credit Card but the website had a problem - Zip Code / Post Code invalid. Despite numerous times putting in my valid postcode I resorted to putting in a US Zip Code and the payment and Booking went through fine.

Another point - I rang Princess bookings in USA and tried to get them to solve my Online Booking problems and even the US Office cannot process Corporate Affiliate Bookings - it can only be done Online.
