How far out do P&O generally assign rooms

We are within 26 day of our cruise and no room assigned yet, anyone have any info of when they generally assign the rooms?

Did you make a guarantee booking? If so: "The room number can be assigned anywhere from 65 days to 4 days prior to departure." P&O FAQ's

Ime they've been done only 1-2 weeks out. I suspect they want to sell at higher price those who book specific cabins, so leave guarantee allocation to the end.

This may be because our 'guaranteed' room was the result of paying for a cabin upgrade some six months prior to sailing and a room number was not assigned at that time, but ..... Around 44 days from sailing, I had occasion to ring P&O Customer Service on another matter pertaining to the trip and they assigned the room whilst I was on the phone with them. So we got our room assignment well before embarkation week. BTW, I must say that I have always had a very good experience dealing with P&O customer service.

The earliest I got a gur room assignment is 20+ days. The latest was 6 days before after contacting P&O

Gosh, I'd be having a minor fit if I still didn't have a room assignment 6 days out!!!
