We haven’t cruise with P&O since 2019. Just looking for a reminder of what’s what.

 

What time can we board?

Embarkation Lunch is that a sit down meal? I know it did change to a buffet post covid.

Do we still get bubbles on first formal night?

You can board from 13:00 as priority even if your boarding pass states a later time. Some things are getting back to normal, this seems to vary slightly by ship.

Last year on Iona my boarding time was 12 noon and there was a buffet style embarkation lunch and a half bottle of 'champagne' delivered to the cabin. I only drank half of it because the cork did not ricochet off the ceiling and remained firmly in my fingers. The bottle however did ricochet of the floor

Suites and top tiers tend to get earliest boarding times but it seems people just turn up when they want and coaches have no choice!

That's right, top tiers and suites get the boarding lunch. Nice to sit down and relax!

[July morning]

In October on Britannia we boarded approximately 12.30 pm and had a loyalty lunch in one of the restaurants with drinks.

Half bottle delivered to the cabin on the formal evening also drinks vouchers for a glass of fizz, one sail away and the other because there was no cocktail party.
