kmchisholm Posted February 9, 2023 #1 Share Posted February 9, 2023 Hi all - excited to go on our first Holland America cruise next week with my Mom. Apologies as I’ve looked but can’t seem to find - I’m using a gift card to buy OBC - but is the credit by person or by room? For example, should I be concerned with splitting between my Mom and myself and making sure to use the appropriate person’s card on the ship or does it matter and at the end of the cruise, anything charged to either one of our cards will be combined and the OBC applied to the entire room? If it helps, we only have one credit card for the room.
Cruise Suzy Posted February 9, 2023 #2 Share Posted February 9, 2023 (edited) If you have both registered the same credit card, are in the same stateroom and booked on one confirmation number, there will be just one folio/account. OBC issued in either name will be posted to the account as will charges made with either keycard. Enjoy your first HAL cruise. Rare Mary229 Posted February 9, 2023 #3 Share Posted February 9, 2023 I have had issues with the OBC being applied correctly. I went to the help desk on the ship and sorted it out. Ditto with the Have It All package credits. You should not worry now but keep a close eye on your account while on the ship. Be sure to get it sorted out prior to leaving the ship. 2
kmchisholm Posted February 9, 2023 Author #4 Share Posted February 9, 2023 (edited) Thanks all! One room, one booking and one credit card so hoping we’re good. However I’ll watch the account too! Edited February 9, 2023 by kmchisholm
kmchisholm Posted February 19, 2023 Author #5 Share Posted February 19, 2023 Just wanted to confirm as long as you have 1 credit card for both people in the same stateroom - it doesn’t matter who the OBC “belonged to” as it was applied to the room folio.
