New Person Questions

I just read this post, which I found helpful related to dining reservations. We're also new to Viking, have ours booked for next year. I liked this person's advice though! With our cruise, we will be in port every day, and for about 10-14 hours/day, so I'm not even thinking about dining reservations. LOL! I know there will always be food to eat, so I know we'll be good. I still thought this was an interesting way to think about it.

Negative, even on 100+ night World Cruises, you get the same number of reservations as on a 7-night cruise. Doesn't bother us, since we never make advance reservations.

Not exactly.  I booked Manfredi’s about every 2-3 weeks for our World Cruise on the Neptune.  I booked 11 reservations until May.   I did NOT book CT, even though I could.  For us, it is very much menu dependent.  Even so, we’ve gone 3x since boarding, booked either the same day or a day or so ahead.

Thanks Michelle - An interesting change and it can't be based on segments, as this year's WC doesn't have any. Probably realised that the alternative restaurants on previous World Cruises were rarely full, so they removed the limits.

Even though this cruise has no segments, it’s being treated as if there were.  For instance, our excursion list ends at Sydney and it assumes we are disembarking…..so nothing is listed.
As of right now, segments further than Sydney have not been posted on the TV, but that will change maybe this afternoon?  I noticed this morning tickets are arriving for the next couple weeks.
