Transfer Between Different Cruise lines Galveston

We have back to back cruises from Galveston but on different cruise lines. Specifically after a RCCL cruise we will be going on Princess Ruby. It doesn’t appear we can walk to the Princess check in from RCCL. Any suggestions  such as a cab, ride share ,or parking lot shuttle?

Galveston Terminals 1 & 2 are next to each other, just down the street from the new RCI terminal, but too far to walk. The new RCI terminal only allows Lyft, not Uber or taxis, so that limits your options. This is their official policy, although I have heard anecdotes of people being allowed to arrive in (likely unmarked) Uber vehicles.

Hopefully not the case anymore but I hired a Lyft in October 2021 from the port of Galveston to hobby airport and it was $175 - surge pricing. This was back when a party of 4 had to use Lyft XL or whatever it is  called.  The taxi stand had about 15 families waiting and we saw 1 taxi pulled up in 20 minutes. 

 

Hopefully more drivers now.
