This is my first cruise and have absolutely no idea what to expect for solo travellers! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
bikerunner Posted February 14, 2023 #2 Share Posted February 14, 2023 When you get on explore the ship. Find the different spots/bars/spa etc. Always fun when on a first cruise and or a new ship to find the different areas. Dont be afraid to ask the staff for help;/recommendations etc, Thats what there for to make each guests experience special. If there is a problem address it and dont let it simmer with you, guest services is very easy to talk to and very helpful.
Happy Cruiser 6143 Posted February 14, 2023 #3 Share Posted February 14, 2023 I cruised on the Connie in January. Look at the Daily for information on a solo gathering the first night. I met several fun people and we ended up having dinner together most nights.

Alwayshome Posted February 14, 2023 #6 Share Posted February 14, 2023 If you are suite or Aqua class you may have different dining options. But if not, read on - Just got off the Connie yesterday. It was the first Celebrity cruise for my husband and I (we have sailed RCL,, HAL and Princess.) A couple we spoke with was frustrated with the buffet for breakfast and lunch because of the husband's mobility issues. They did not know that breakfast and lunch in the San Marco (deck 4) was included in the cruise fare. There are several options for breakfast and you can mix and match anything you choose. I highly recommend it. You can request a solo table or you can choose to share and meet other people. Even if you choose to sit by yourself, the tables are close together and conversation usually ensues. Lunch there was also good - just not always offered when the ship is in port. ALSO - Be prepared for a fog delay before or after your cruise. We waited 6 1/2 hours to board on February 3rd. Celebrity DID NOT inform us of the fog delay. Most of the passengers we spoke with received an email about 8:00 a.m. We showed up at the dock at 10:50 a.m. for our 11:00 boarding time and no ship. It was a bit disturbing. You will have an AMAZING time! Great staff - lovely ship - many fun activities - small library on deck 8 if you want to borrow a book - deep salt water pool outside and a warm water pool in the Solarium - live music options every night - big screen movies with comfy couches on deck 11 aft - and the best rum raisin ice cream ever! (Did I mention the beef tournedos?) ENJOY!!!!
