National Express question.

We plan on taking the National Express coach to Southampton from Heathrow T5.

Do we get it just outside the arrivals area or departures?

It looks as if they pick up at stops 11 - 15, right outside the terminal building at the arrivals level.

Used this service last week and Bob++ is exactly right, stops 11-15 right outside arrivals hall.  
one tip though is to realise that the final destination on the front of the coach may not necessarily be Southampton, it may be going on elsewhere, so make sure you ask if it stops in Southampton.

Do you need to buy tickets in advance?

I’m not absolutely sure if there is a National Express booth in the arrivals hall, but if there is then of course the bus might be full from pre booked passengers.

I have always booked my tickets in advance.
