HOHO tram?

I'm a solo cruiser, and based on what I've read about this stop, I think I'd really like to just do a HOHO. The only one I know about is Island Trams. Any others I should consider?

I'd love to hear from anyone with recent experiences:

  • Can I purchase a ticket getting off the ship? Or do I need to pre-purchase on their website?
  • What about crowding? Better to try to get off the ship first thing to beat the crowd? Or wait until after the the initial rush?
  • Any issues getting space on a tram at any particular stops?

Thanks!

I've heard various reports recently that this wasn't running.   I see the website is still up, though.  When we were there in January, I don't recall seeing any trams leaving the port area, and I could see the whole island from the ship decks.  Saw golf carts, taxis and duckboats.

However, you should be able to buy tickets at the taxi stand.   Most cruisers stay int he port area or meet in the taxi area for ship excursions.  You shouldn't have any issues getting around.  But be prepared to wait for the tram at each place.  If the trams are running there only a couple.
