Southern Caribbean cruisers feedback

hey gang,  

 

looking at a possible 12 nt (our longest ever, by 1 nt) Q4 cruise out of NY (our first time).   Wanted to get some advice from the other cruisers on what you'd recommend to do.   

 

sailaway then 3 days at sea 

 

St Thomas 

St Maarten

St Lucia 

Dominica 

Barbados 

 

then 3 days at sea before returning.  

 

 

Two of my favorite places in the hemisphere are St Maarten and Lucia - so i think we'll be going to Maho Beach and the Pitons.  just cant miss either of those when we're in port.  Never been to Dominica and havent done much in Thomas or Barbados -other than catamaran rides each place (which we do love).

ship would be the Venezia - which would be a little different experience.  we are primarily Carnival cruisers, but have sailed several times on NCL and once on MSC.  i dug each experience.  

 

But, i must admit, looooooove the Fun Ships!

If you snorkel, Sapphire beach in St. Thomas is great. Or take the Red Hook ferry to Trunk Bay. 
Barbados- we love The Boathouse. Carlisle Bay is gorgeous.

St Martin: Bernard Tours - https://bernardstours.com/

St Lucia - do something that includes the Pitons - we did Hackshaw Boat Charters - included snorkeling at a couple of spots (found on trip advisor)

Barbados - Mount Gay Rum - you can walk there from the cruise port, we did their rum tasting & Rihanna's childhood home is right near there (I'm not a fan, but when in Barbados...)

If it is still available, the chocolate factory tour in Barbados was a fun tour that I booked online before we sailed and then took a taxi to Mount Gay Rum in 2016. Made our own island tour for the day!
